Dungeons II Platforms, Crossplay and Game Pass
Minecraft Dungeons II (Minecraft Dungeons 2) is on PC (Steam and Xbox app), Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. It is included with Game Pass, supports Xbox Play Anywhere, and lets up to four players team up with couch, online or mixed co-op. Steam lists cross-platform multiplayer.

We found no source listing Xbox One, macOS or Linux. Steam lists Windows as the only supported OS, and the game doesn’t run on Steam Deck today; see Steam Deck and Linux.
Game Pass
Xbox states the game is included with Game Pass, meaning subscribers can play the standard game without buying it. Online multiplayer on Xbox consoles has its own platform requirements; check your plan on the Xbox page. The Deluxe cosmetics and DLC are sold separately unless a bundle says otherwise. Xbox Play Anywhere
Xbox Wire says the game supports Xbox Play Anywhere, which lets you buy once and play on Xbox console and Xbox PC. That applies to Xbox and Microsoft Store purchases, not to a Steam key.
Crossplay and co-op
- Up to four players in a party.
- Couch co-op on one screen, online co-op, and mixed co-op (some local, some online). Matchmaking is available to find other players.
- Steam lists Cross-Platform Multiplayer and the Steam entry says Remote Play Together is available too.
- You need a Microsoft account. Players report you must create an online hero to play online; offline and online heroes are separate. See co-op and crossplay connection issues.
- On consoles, each player usually needs their platform’s online subscription.
Cross-progression
The Hero Cape promotion notes that you should use the same Microsoft account across games. We didn’t find an official statement about moving a hero between platforms, so don’t assume cross-save. Check Mojang’s help center before switching platforms.
Steam features and languages
Steam lists single-player, online co-op, shared or split-screen co-op, cross-platform multiplayer, Remote Play Together and Family Sharing, plus subtitle options, adjustable text size, color alternatives and custom volume controls. There are 17 supported languages, and English, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese - Brazil, Simplified Chinese, Spanish - Latin America, Swedish and Traditional Chinese have full audio.
Which platform should you pick?
- Best for friends across systems: any platform that supports crossplay, with everyone on the same Microsoft account setup.
- Best for keyboard and mouse: none; PC uses click-to-move and there is no WASD, so use a controller.
- Best value: Game Pass if you already subscribe.
- Handheld: Switch and Switch 2 are supported; Steam Deck currently is not.
