Switch 2 & PS5 Stuck Signing In: Player Fixes
SymptomOn Switch 2 or PS5 the game sits on 'Signing in' forever, says it can't connect to Mojang servers, or shows a 3-ABGVA error code.
If Minecraft Dungeons II (Minecraft Dungeons 2) hangs on “Signing in” on Nintendo Switch 2, check that the console’s date and time are set to sync automatically, then restart the game. Two unrelated Reddit threads say a console clock that was off by several hours was the cause, and fixing it let them sign in. That is a player report, not an official fix. For PS5, players describe the same loop but no fix has been posted.
What players see
- Switch 2, “Signing in” forever. One player can only play offline, and only when the console is not connected to the internet; as soon as it is online the game stays on the “signing in” screen (Still can’t play online?).
- Switch 2, airplane-mode workaround. A parent says their child can only get in by turning on airplane mode to reach offline mode, then going online, creating a new hero and choosing online. The new hero never loads, and starting the game with Wi-Fi on gives “Signing in” forever (Switch 2 can’t get online).
- Switch 2, error 3-ABGVA-0029. A player with a pre-ordered Switch 2 game key signed in once, was later signed out, and now gets 3-ABGVA-0029 on every attempt. They noticed the Xbox website still tracked their play time. A German-language reply says the same happens to them, and that the same account signs in fine on a PS5 (Dungeons 2 signing-in to Microsoft issue).
- Switch 2, error 3-ABGVA-0015. “Session disconnected. You’ve lost connection to the dedicated server” when trying to play online, after reinstalling and signing in and out (Switch 2 connection error).
- PS5, sign-in loop. A player says the game worked the day before and now loops at sign-in (thread). Another says the game reports it can’t connect to Mojang servers after signing in, redownloading and filing a support ticket (thread). A third gets error 0063 on PlayStation even though the account is linked to Microsoft and Dungeons I works (thread).
What worked for some players (Switch 2)
- Set the console clock to automatic. In the thread “Switch 2 can’t get online” a reply says the clock on the console was off by several hours; switching back to automatic clock sync made sign-in work. In “Still can’t play online?” a reply gives the same advice, and a follow-up says that was it. Three more replies in the first thread say the same fixed them; one says the clock had drifted after changing the date in another game. These are player reports.
- Restart the game after the clock is correct. Everyone who reported success did this after fixing the time.
Things to try on any console
These are general steps, not confirmed fixes for this game.
- Check the Microsoft account you signed in with is the one that owns the game, and sign in once at account.microsoft.com in a browser to clear any security prompt. Microsoft’s guide: Troubleshoot sign-in problems.
- Restart the console fully, not just the game.
- Wait and retry later. Mojang posted on Steam (Sep 30) that it had resolved most login and account-linking issues on the backend and was working on hotfixes. That post is about launch-week logins in general, not these console reports specifically.
- Contact Mojang or your console maker’s support with a screenshot of the exact code. One PS5 player has already filed a ticket; no answer has been posted.
Pre-order cape not showing after login problems
The Switch 2 player with 3-ABGVA-0029 also says their pre-order and hero capes have not appeared in Minecraft Bedrock or Java. See pre-order bonus not received and capes and promos.
What is confirmed and what is not
Player reports: the clock fix on Switch 2 (two threads), the sign-in loops and error codes above. Not confirmed: whether the 3-ABGVA codes share a cause, whether the PS5 loop is a server problem, and whether a patch is planned. We will update this page after an official response or patch.

FAQ
Why is Dungeons II stuck on 'Signing in' on Switch 2?
Two separate Reddit threads say the console clock was several hours off, and setting it back to automatic time fixed the sign-in. Mojang has not confirmed this as a cause, and other Switch 2 players have posted the same symptom with no answer.
How do I fix the clock on Switch 2?
In the console's system settings, set the date and time to sync automatically over the internet, then restart the game. Players mention the clock drifting after changing the date by hand, for example to skip time in other games. Check your console's own settings menu for the exact path.
What do the 3-ABGVA error codes mean?
Mojang has not published a list. One Reddit post shows 3-ABGVA-0029 on every Microsoft login attempt on Switch 2, and another shows 3-ABGVA-0015 with the message 'Session disconnected. You've lost connection to the dedicated server'. Treat them as sign-in and connection errors until Mojang says more.
Is there a fix for the PS5 sign-in loop?
Not yet. Two PS5 Reddit posts describe a sign-in loop and a 'can't connect to Mojang servers' message, and one ticket was filed with support. No working fix has been posted as of Oct 3, 2026.
Can I play offline while sign-in is broken?
One Switch 2 player reports that the game only runs offline when the console is not connected to the internet. Offline and online heroes are separate, so an offline hero will not join online sessions.
