Players report that the max level in Minecraft Dungeons II (Minecraft Dungeons 2) is 100. After that the experience bar only recolors and no new levels come. Mojang has not published the cap, so this comes from three launch-week Steam threads. Level 100 also means a hard limit on enchantment points, which shapes how many builds you can keep.

What players report

Enchantment points and salvaging

A level 20 player says they salvaged enchanted gear without disenchanting first and did not get the points back; a reply says they did get points back from salvaging enchanted items, so the first player may have hit a bug. Disenchant before you salvage until this is clear. See how to enchant.

What to do at level 100

  1. Plan one main build first, since points only cover about one full build.
  2. Disenchant old gear before switching builds, and keep an eye on emeralds.
  3. Run Soul Storms and Sift Tides for unique items; see the Sift.
  4. Check how long to beat for pacing and the endgame.

What we could not verify

The official cap, how many enchantment points a full level 1 to 100 run gives, the 149 item power ceiling, and whether Mojang will add progression past 100. We will update this page after we play the PC build.

FAQ

What is the max level in Minecraft Dungeons 2?

Three Steam threads say 100. Players say the experience bar only recolors after that and no level 101 appears. Mojang has not published the cap.

Can you level past 100 like in the first game?

Players say no. One poster notes you could keep leveling past 100 in Minecraft Dungeons 1 and asks why it is limited in the sequel; another thinks the cap exists to stop endless enchantment point grinding.

What do you get at level 100?

One player says you get enough enchantment points to fully upgrade one build with one item's worth left over. To switch builds you would have to disenchant gear to get points back.

What is item power at the cap?

The same player says nearly everything sits at 149 item power, with some items at 150 to 153, and that the only thing left is grinding unique items over the item power cap. This is one player's report.

Is there an endgame after 100?

Soul Storms and Sift Tides are the repeatable content. Players say it feels thin at launch; see our Soul Storms page.
