Dungeons II Emerald Cap: Why You Stop at 9,999

Players report that Minecraft Dungeons II (Minecraft Dungeons 2) caps emeralds at 9,999. If you salvage or sell items while near the cap, the screen may show a bigger total (one player saw 13,000, another 12,000), then it drops back to 9,999 when you leave the menu and the extra is lost. Spend emeralds before you salvage or sell in bulk. This comes from player reports; Mojang has not published the limit.

What players report

How to avoid losing emeralds

  1. Watch your total before you salvage or sell. If it is above roughly 7,000 to 8,000, spend some first.
  2. Sell or salvage in smaller batches so the total never crosses 9,999.
  3. Spend on the blacksmith and enchantsmith upgrades you want before farming more. See beginner tips for how upgrades work.
  4. Keep at least a few echo shards spent if you are near the reported cap of 100.

What we could not verify

The exact caps, whether a patch raises them, and whether salvage results are truly discarded or only displayed wrongly. We have not tested it ourselves and will update this page after doing so. Related complaint: items show few numbers, see item stats and power.

FAQ

Is there an emerald cap in Minecraft Dungeons II?

Players say yes: 9,999. In three Steam threads and one review, players saw their total show a higher number while salvaging or selling and then drop back to 9,999 after leaving the menu. One reply says it is intended. Mojang has not published the cap.

Do I lose the extra emeralds?

According to players, yes. One player said they lost about 21,000 emeralds that way. Spend emeralds before big salvage or sell sessions to stay under the cap.

Is there a cap on echo shards?

A reviewer says echo shards are capped at 100, and a thread poster suspected a cap around 99. Both are unconfirmed by Mojang.

Does the cap go away after beating the game?

One player said they still had the cap after beating the game, so do not count on it lifting.
