Aurora Cape: How to Get It in Minecraft (Free)
The Aurora Cape is a free cape for Minecraft Java and Bedrock (not for Minecraft Dungeons II). To get it, watch a rewards-enabled Minecraft Dungeons II livestream for at least 15 minutes on Twitch or 3 minutes on TikTok while it is live, then redeem the code you receive at minecraft.net/redeem by October 31, 2026. The watching promotion ends October 14, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT. All of this is from Minecraft.net.
How to get it, step by step
- Pick a platform. Twitch: any Partner or Affiliate streaming in the Minecraft Dungeons II category, for at least 15 minutes (per Minecraft’s X post). TikTok: a Minecraft Dungeons II livestream with Game Rewards enabled, for at least 3 minutes.
- Watch while it is live. Minecraft.net says viewing time only counts while the stream is live.
- Collect the code. Check your Twitch Inventory or TikTok notifications for the redemption code.
- Redeem it. Sign in with the Microsoft account that owns Minecraft at minecraft.net/redeem and enter the code before October 31, 2026.
- Equip it in Minecraft. Open Minecraft Java or Bedrock and choose the cape in your wardrobe or skins screen. The exact menu names depend on the edition.

Problems players report
- “Redemption code is unavailable. Please try again later.” Reported on Steam for the Twitch reward. One player said they had refreshed for hours. A reply points out the cape is not available in Dungeons II. Another theory, that codes ran out, is unconfirmed; the official fine print only says supplies are limited.
- Drop never appears. A player said Twitch never showed the drop on a dozen Dungeons II streams, and another said TikTok reset after 30 seconds. A different player said they sat on a stream for about 20 minutes before the code came through. Make sure the stream is in the Minecraft Dungeons II category and live.
- Wrong place. Don’t try to enter the Aurora code inside Dungeons II; the Corrupted Creeper cape is the one redeemed in Dungeons II. See Dungeons II capes and how to redeem codes.
What we could not verify
Whether you must own Dungeons II (the terms don’t say so), what happens when codes run out, and any extension past October 14. Check Minecraft.net for changes.
