Xbox Achievements Not Unlocking in Dungeons II

If Xbox achievements and gamerscore are not unlocking in Minecraft Dungeons II (Minecraft Dungeons 2), you are not alone, and no confirmed fix exists yet. Players on Steam say achievements pop on Steam but not on the linked Xbox profile, and Mojang has not said whether that is intended. What players report

These are player posts from Steam discussions and r/MinecraftDungeons between Sept 29 and Oct 3, 2026. None is confirmed by Mojang.

• Steam: Xbox profile shows the game but 0 achievements. One poster says the game linked their accounts automatically and appears on their Xbox profile, but they have 0% achievements and 0 gamerscore even though it worked in the first game. Other posters in the thread agree.
• Steam: only Steam achievements pop. A second thread asks whether it works like other Microsoft titles on Steam, and a Reddit poster says achievements show on Steam but not on their Xbox profile after linking. A third thread’s top replies call it probably intentional, one guessing Xbox achievements need the Microsoft Store version. That is a guess, not an official statement.
• Mojang feedback post. A reply in the third Steam thread links a Mojang feedback post with this problem as its title and asks players to upvote it. We could not load it, so we have no information on its status.
• Stopped unlocking. One Reddit poster asks whether anyone else’s Xbox achievements stopped unlocking, with no detail.
• Switch 2. One player has nearly 100% of the game and no achievement at all, with a linked Microsoft account, and wonders if their offline hero is the cause. No answer yet. Other Switch 2 offline-hero problems are covered on console sign-in stuck.
• Back to Back (Steam, online co-op). Two players completed all four missions, with the host starting and finishing each, and the achievement never appeared. Restarting the game and PC, replaying the missions and changing the system date did not help.
• Merchant gear achievement (Xbox). A player bought special gear from the merchant several times and the achievement for it did not unlock. The same post says an Echo Golem quest keeps reappearing after being completed. One player, not confirmed.
• Track Record (Xbox). One Reddit poster says they visited all 27 stations multiple times and the achievement is stuck at 96%. One player, not confirmed.
• Launcher-to-Steam transfer. A Steam poster who first bought in the Minecraft Launcher says only the character synced to Steam, not achievements, play time or pre-order bonuses.

What you can check

None of these is confirmed to fix missing Xbox achievements.

1. Confirm the Microsoft account shown in the game is the one you want on your Xbox profile.
2. Check that Steam shows the achievement. If it does, the game recorded it and the problem is the sync to Xbox, which players cannot change.
3. For Back to Back, the poster’s host started and finished all four missions with the partner in each. Nobody has posted the exact requirements or a way to retry, so we cannot say more.
4. Wait for an official response. Nothing players tried (restarting the game and PC, replaying the missions, changing the date) is reported to have worked.

What is unconfirmed

• Whether Xbox achievements are meant to work on the Steam version, or on Switch 2 with an offline hero.
• Whether Back to Back and the merchant achievement are bugs or have requirements players have not met.
• Whether achievements recorded now will sync to Xbox after a patch.
